Roice Nel, born a Joburger raised as a Capetonian. From an early age, he fell in love with the sea, and found it incredibly easy to talk about himself in the third person…
Roice’s career path started early and on the streets of Tableview – with skateboarding. He started to film all the “amazing” moves with a camera he stole from his friend’s parents. This meant he then had to learn the ropes of Windows 98 and how to edit the footage he shot.
Graduating with an Advanced Diploma in Camera work and Lighting Roice found his break into the fashion industry when he met a fashion photographer. Since then Roice has gone on to become a young entrepreneur, director, cameraman, and editor.
Nowadays Roice is in high demand and can offer his services as an experienced filmmaker, who has worked with major fashion, beauty & lifestyle brands – locally and internationally.
If you’re looking for a man who was forged in the 80s, not afraid to talk about himself in the third person, and who fought for survival on the streets of Table View with a camera, eventually blossoming into one of South Africa’s most demanded fashion filmmakers.
